Brick House Music believes that music is a critical aspect of human expression. These are our driving philosophies:
- All people are musical. If you are interested in learning an instrument, now is the best time to start. If you played an instrument in school, and stopped, now is the best time to restart. If you are 70 years old and interested in taking lessons, now is the best time to start. Music makes people better artists, and music makes artists better people.
- The surest path to success is through practice. Talent is real, but effort is the truest indicator of success.
- Students who do not understand the value of their craft are less likely to continue performing in the long-term. By helping them to understand, appreciate, and take ownership of the music they make, they will consider their own musical capabilities as a type of personal investment.
